Get Ready for the Ultimate Showdown: CUSPORF 2024 is Here!!!

The wait is finally over, and the excitement is palpable! The CUSPORF 2024 Sports Festival is kicking off today, and the students of University of Ibadan in affiliation with Federal College of Education, Abeokuta  are ready to give it their all. This year's festival promises to be an electrifying event, with a packed schedule of thrilling matches, games, and performances. 

But before the action begins, it is essential to know the rules and regulations that will govern the festival.

Here are the essential guidelines and rules that will govern CUSPORF 2024:

  1. Eligible participants shall be BONAFIDE students of CUDEP.
  2. Any team that field an ineligible player(s) shall forfeit the match by 3 – 0 and 3 points. Also, the team shall be outrightly DISQUALIFIED from the competition.
  3. All FIFA rules shall be applied throughout the competition.
  4. All transfers MUST be completed a week before the commencement of the competition.
  5. The squad for each team shall consist of FIFTEEN (15) players to be accompanied by TWO (2) officials; a coach and an assistant coach.
  6. All teams should present their players for clearance by the sport director not later than THREE (3) DAYS to the competition.
  7. All players shall present their competition pass to the officials for clearance before the start of any match.
  8. A team shall be deemed complete to start a match with maximum number of ELEVEN (11) or minimum of SEVEN (7) players.
  9. All team(s) shall wear different colours of jerseys as predetermined at the stakeholders meeting.
  10. All players in a team shall only be allowed to play with the right players equipment (jersey, hosts/socks and footwears).
  11. All outfield players in a team shall put on uniform numbered jerseys (the same colour). The goalkeeper jersey shall be a different colour from the outfield players. Also, the captain of the team shall appear with the captain band.
  12. All first matches of the day shall begin by 4:00pm daily.
  13. All competing teams should arrive 15 MINUTES at the match venue for inspection/accreditation before the scheduled time for the commencement of the match.A
  14. Any team that arrives TEN (10) MINUTES behind the scheduled kick-off time of the match shall be walked over. Such team shall FORFEIT that match by 3 – 0 and 3 points.
  15. A match shall consist of 2 halves of 30 minutes each. In case a winner must emerge, the game shall be decided by penalty shootout without extra time.
  16. Any team that walks out of a match shall FORFEIT that match by 3 – 0 and 3 points. The team will also neither be allowed to continue in the competition nor be eligible to participate in the next edition of the competition.
  17. A yellow card attracts a fine of #200 and a red card #500.
  18. Red card shall attract ONE MATCH BAN. The ban will not be moved to the next round but there will be payment of #1,000.
  19. All appeal shall be directed to the Technical Committee and the appealing team shall pay a sum of #2,000. In case the appeal is won, the #2,000 shall be refunded; but if the appeal is lost the #2,000 shall be forfeited.
  20. Any act of INDISCIPLINE, UNSPORTMANLIKE AND UNGENTLEMANLIKE behaviour from any player or official will be sanctioned by the technical committee and reported to the management. Players are advised to explore the opportunity of appeal provided in Paragraph 18 above.
  21. All participant that appear indecent including the Haircut shall not be eligible to participate in the competition.
